Course Benefits
- At the end of this course, users will be able to utilize the CATIA V5 / CAM-POST integrated platform for 2 to 4-axes turning applications
- Users will be trained to develop and use CAM-POST post-processors to create advanced NC manufacturing programs
- NC programmers will be taught to define and manage turning operations and explore advanced CATIA V5 capabilities such as machining operations, parameters and transition paths
- Clients will learn how to define and manage NC programs dedicated for machining parts designed with Surface or Solid geometry using the CATIA V5 LMG workbench
- Users will become skilled at developing and customizing CAM-POST NC post-processors to efficiently generate and manage NC code output for specific lathe machine and controller combinations
Prerequisites:
Participants should possess basic working knowledge of CATIA V5 and should be familiar with Sketcher, Part Design and Assembly Design. Knowledge of basic lathe machining practices is essential.

- NC programmers will be taught to define and manage Mill / Turn machining applications and explore advanced CATIA V5 capabilities such as machining operations, parameters and transition paths and tool path customization
- Clients will learn how to define and manage NC programs dedicated for machining parts designed with Surface or Solid geometry using the CATIA PMG, SMG, AMG, LMG workbenches.
- Users will be trained to develop and use CATIA V5 / CAM-POST to create advanced Mill / Turn NC post-processors
