ICAM Technologies Corporation announces the release of a Japanese Language version of CAM-POST® 2000. The new version was developed in collaboration with Matrix Corporation of Tokyo, Japan, a CAM-POST distributor, and operates on the Japanese version of Windows 95/98/NT.
The development of the Japanese Language version of CAM-POST demonstrates ICAM’s long-term commitment to its growing customer base in Asia, and more specifically to the Japanese market.
“Japan is among ICAM’s strongest markets for CAM-POST, and Japanese customers have been particularly loyal to ICAM products and services for many years,” says John J. Nassr, President of ICAM. “The Japanese Language version of CAM-POST symbolizes ICAM’s commitment to our Japanese customers and resellers.”
CAM-POST NC post-processing software generates programs that transform CAD/CAM cutter location (CL) files into the specific machine code required by CNC machines. CAM-POST works seamlessly with all major CAD/CAM systems, hardware platforms, and NC machines to deliver support for up to 15 axes of machine tool control.
CAM-POST 2000, ICAM’s latest release, features a number of technologies designed to make machining faster and more accurate, including High Speed Machining, NURBS fitting, Tangential Arc fitting, and Intelligent Alternate Tool Path Selection. CAM-POST 2000 also features a new Floating License Manager, a cost-effective solution for any company that runs CAD/CAM systems in a networked environment, especially companies that run CAD/CAM systems from multiple vendors.
