Do you know how to change the spindle speed for a post processor in Quest?
By adding a maximum spindle speed, you are adding a safety feature to your post processor. Gener will automatically recognize any excess RPM and lower it back down to its maximum allowable speed you have setup.
Here’s how you do it.
- Start by opening your post processor in Quest;
- In the navigator panel, go to Machine Description > Spindle;
- In the main window, go to the Range data section;
- Change the third question to the maximum allowable spindle speed of your machine in units of RPM.
