Maximize Machine Performance with Adaptive Post-Processing

See it live at IMTS 2018

ICAM Technologies will present its field-proven Adaptive Post-Processing™ technology at IMTS 2018 (IMTS East Building – Booth: 133217).
Adaptive Post-Processing is unique technology that changes traditional CNC programming methodology by creating an integrated environment for the independent steps of post-processing, tool-path optimization and G-code simulation. This results in savings of up to 35% in NC programming and machine cycle time.

This new methodology allows all these steps to be executed simultaneously permitting cross-communication among them; thereby, allowing for automatic tool-path corrections – all in one concurrent operation.
The iterative steps of the traditional serial method of tool-path creation, post-processing, machine simulation and G-code verification, most often generate errors leaving the tedious investigative work as to where the errors occurred in the hands of the NC programmer.
ICAM’s Adaptive Post-Processing solution, not only eliminates these errors while reducing programming time, but also allows programmers to design tool paths for the part to cut and disregard the machine selected to produce it. In other words, creating tool-paths using Adaptive Post-Processing eliminates the reprogramming of the part for a new target CNC machine. This manufacturing flexibility means manufacturers are free to choose whatever machine makes more sense at a given time and ultimately means getting more out of existing machines.
