Where it all started

In 1971, John G. Nassr began his first company in the basement of his home, Canadian Advanced Production Consultants (CAPC) which later grew into a much larger company, Integrated Computer-Aided Manufacturing Technologies (ICAM).

Who was he

John G. Nassr was an entrepreneur and a brilliant businessman whose every move was guided by his well-founded principles. John’s early years were spent working long hours at his father’s famed Nassr Fruit Company while attending Assumption High School.

As a young kid

He had a passion for building model airplanes and at 12 years old, “Mighty John” became the youngest member accepted into the Windsor Model Aircraft Club.

His earlier accomplishments

As an Aeronautical Engineer, he moved to Montreal to start his career and family life. He worked at Canadair developing the still used CL-215 water bomber. He designed the first-ever T-tail on a military jet, the iconic Snowbirds Tutor CL-41, to name a few of his early accomplishments.

1983

The first commercial version of ICAM’s post-processor development tool, CAM-POST™ is released.

1985

ICAM becomes a software company providing post-processor solutions with CAM-POST

The development of new macro languages and the first support of 4-axis lathes for CAM-POST.

1989

Sam Chehab, VP of Sales & Business Development Joins ICAM

The development of the revolutionary motion post-processor was incorporated, as well as the support for Mill/Turn centers, Wire EDM, and Punch Presses were added to CAM-POST.

ICAM Technologies Corporation announces that it has opened an office in Shanghai, China to provide local manufacturers in the aerospace and automotive industries with advanced post-processors, machining simulation and technical support services.

ICAM launches Adaptive Post-Processing technology at IMTS 2016

Kede CNC, a Chinese high-tech enterprise engaged in the development and production of high-end five-axis CNC machine tools, partners with ICAM for Post-Processing. Their main products are serialized five-axis turning and milling machines.

ICAM announces the release of ICAM V23, the latest version of its integrated post-processing, simulation and optimization software product line.

ICAM went through major changes in its management, during the pandemic, for a better digital and social presence.

2021

ICAM Technologies Celebrates its 50th Anniversary

The year 2021 was a tumultuous time around the world due to the pandemic. Under the leadership of ICAM’s Senior Management Team, the company emerged stronger and more agile.
